Sentinel
Andrew Rice
Hi everyone! My name is Andrew Rice, and I am excited to be serving as your 2024-2025 Orange County Federation Sentinel!
I am currently a sophomore at Horizon High School where I proudly serve as the chapter Treasurer. This is my 3rd year as an FFA member and my 2nd year as an officer. I have competed in a variety of CDEs and LDEs. My favorite CDEs are Forestry and Floriculture and my favorite LDE is Parliamentary Procedure. In my free time, you can find me volunteering, reading, or doing art. You could also find me camping and backpacking in the great outdoors, as I love nature! My SAE project is community service and restoration, essentially, I help restore middle school facilities, improve agricultural areas, and plan community service projects. FFA has led me to many opportunities and experiences and has really changed my life for the better, and I hope that I can make that happen for you as well.
I am beyond thrilled to get to know all of you and serve as your Orange County Sentinel!
Community Oriented SAE
SAE projects are one of my favorite things in FFA and agriculture. This is one of my projects I am working on currently. This chicken coop needs some help at my local middle school. Currently in the planning stage, but soon we will be able to restore this hurricane damaged chicken coop into a storage shed!
FFA
FFA has taught me valuable lessons inside and outside of the classroom. FFA has given me the tools needed to discover what agriculture really is and explore my career paths through the amazing experiences it offers. I have made life long friends and memories here and I hope you can too!
Let's keep in touch!
